Can you guess how many videos are there in Pornhub1? Try taking a wild guess before reading further.
Well, there were about 1.22 M videos uploaded in between 2014 to 2019, according to a data published in reddit. The total duration of the videos is about 812 years! Compare it to the total duration of the episodes in The Breaking Bad which is little more than 2 days2.
Assuming an adult can manage watching porn for 2 hours everyday i.e. 730 hours a year, s/he will take 406 years to finish them all. Of course, ignoring the new additions every day.
What if they do it 12 hours per day? It will be 68 years!
With this many videos the average duration per video comes to about 15 minutes video. However, are most of the videos this long? Let’s check it out.

Most of the videos (about 328k i.e. 26.84%) of the videos are of duration of between 6 to 10 minutes.
Now the question is which duration attracts more visits on aggregate and average? Well, that is a question we will tackle in the next post. (Else, how will I create more posts? ;) )
Please note that several rows of data have been removed during cleaning. For e.g. any video with length more than 5 hours or views more than 100 M has been removed.
